National ASL Education for Heritage Learners (NASLEHL)
Hello, I’m Delia, and I’m the President of National American Sign Language Education Heritage Language NASLEHL.
As many of you know, language matters.
For Deaf children and Children of Deaf Adults to receive full natural sign language is not optional— it is foundational.
Our organization strongly focused on strengthening American Sign Language and other heritage languages within instructions, assessments, and curriculum from birth through age twenty-one.
Our Work Comes to Life Through Three Core Programs

A national convening of ASL educators and leaders dedicated to advancing best practices in language development, curriculum, instruction, and assessment.

A structured, research-informed framework providing curriculum guidance and aligned assessment tools to strengthen ASL as a content area.

A legacy initiative investing in scholarships, teacher development, youth programs, and innovative, Deaf-centered ASL education.
